Posture Check

What Is Your Posture Really Telling You?

Let’s be honest...most of us spend way too many hours sitting (office, driving, Netflix). The reality is, it has become a real necessity of modern life for many of us, so we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves because of it!

As your body is incredibly adaptable, it will have spent the last few years reshaping itself to compensate for all of those hours in a chair, making some muscles tighter, some weaker. Often we don't notice the changes until suddenly, we feel a dull pain or niggle or tightness that just won't go!

This compensation can actually cause real issues over time (pain, injury, disc degeneration, postural issues like text neck), but they are usually reversible if you know exactly what to target, how & why.

That's where we come in! Our Posture Check (available for companies/groups and for individuals) can assess your posture, enabling us to then explain exactly what you need to do to improve.

What You Can Expect

We’ll examine your posture in a 1-on-1 Posture Check session (for individuals) or an in-office session (for companies) and identify:

  • General postural adaptations, triggers and signs of poor posture associated with long-term sitting. Then, on an individual basis, we look at:

  • Which muscles are overworking or underperforming

  • Where tightness is quietly pulling you out of alignment

  • An image based assessment (using photos) to identify any potential misalignment

  • Whether you’re developing common imbalances like lordosis, upper crossed syndrome, or lower crossed syndrome.

  • We will then engage in a revitalising exercise session is designed to introduce you to some great stretches and exercises designed to build strength in weaker areas.

Shortly after our Posture Check consultation, individuals will receive a personalised posture report that explains exactly what’s going on, including how to bring your body back into balance. It includes:

  • A tailored set of exercises and stretches designed just for you (for individuals)

  • A clear explanation of which muscles and ligaments we’re targeting, and why (for individuals)

  • Practical movement tips for your workday so you can feel better, stronger, and pain-free (for individuals) OR

  • A generic document provided for your team, with basic personalised data for each team member (based on photos takes at the workshop, if requested) and basic experiential data provided via a written form (teams)

A Posture Check is quite straightforward and even enjoyable, but it can make a major difference to your life. It is empowering to know more about your body, and how to treat it well and you will easily be able to integrate the relaxing stretches and strengthening exercises we will give you into your day.

Posture isn’t just about appearance — it affects joint health, muscle efficiency, and even breathing mechanics . Studies show that restoring muscular balance reduces chronic pain and improves performance in everyday movement .So if your neck, back, or hips have been dropping hints that something’s off, a Posture Check is your starting point for a stronger, more aligned you.
